Administration Manager/Paraplanner

Monica Smith joined MDK Wealth Management in May 2012, after permanently relocating to the Gippsland area with her Partner, a CFA Career Fire fighter based in Traralgon.  Originally from Tasmania, Monica moved to Melbourne in 2005 after a trip to Europe opened her eye to the joys of city life.

With extensive experience in Retail Management and Real Estate, working primarily for one of Melbourne’s largest shopping centres and later the international sports brand Fila, Monica brings a wide variety of administration and management skills into the business.

As part of her career development with MDK Monica has recently completed the Diploma of Financial Planning.  Monica is a big believer in ‘Best in Breed’ both in a business sense and her love of the canine family, as she welcomes a new Golden Retriever puppy into her family life.

 

Administration Assistant

Kelly Mumford joined the MDK team in April 2013 as a part time administration assistant.

Kelly was born in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand but has lived in Australia since 2002. Her family; husband and young daughter, moved to Gippsland from the Gold Coast at the beginning of this year to be closer to family. Her husband was born in the Gippsland area and they wanted their daughter to be surrounded by cousins and extended family, as they both were raised.

Kelly has come from a background in the veterinary industry, starting her career as a trained Veterinary nurse she worked in a large mixed animal practice in New Zealand for 5 years before moving to Australia. Since then Kelly has worked in varied roles in the veterinary industry, including reception and practice management. Most recently managing an afterhour’s veterinary clinic on the Gold Coast.

Kelly is excited to change careers into the financial sector, and has learnt a lot in the short time since joining the MDK team, she is looking forward to meeting more clientele over time.
